⚾️On October 4, 1955 the Brooklyn Dodgers win their first World Series with a 2-0 victory in Game 7 against their arch-rival New York Yankees. The Dodgers had lost their previous 7 World Series. For the first time in Series history, an MVP was selected’ Johnny Podres, winning pitcher of Games 3 and 7.
