In the beginning of Hans Richter’s 1963 film Alexander Calder: From the Circus to the Moon, the artist finds a rusty spoon on his Roxbury property. “[He] bends the spoon and slowly reveals, with effortless precision, the utensil’s transformation into an intimate, animated standing mobile,” writes Kaitlyn A.
