October 31, 2024. Walter Lewis Rogers, 84, of Huntington, IN, passed away in the early hours of Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on Saturday, April 20, 1940, in Dunkirk, OH to the late Rev. Walter & Mary M. (Markley) Rogers. Walt was a 1958 graduate of Lancaster High School.

Nov 5, 2024 · October 22, 2024. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) stocked rainbow trout in Fort Wayne and Huntington Oct. 18–19. Shoaff Park and Spy Run Creek in Fort Wayne will each receive 200 fish, and Memorial Park in Huntington will receive 300 fish. The stocked fish will average 12 to 14 inches in length.

2 days ago · It’s exciting. Ezra “Ez” Williams created the league, originally known as the Y Midget League for boys in fourth to sixth grades, in 1958. During the 1963-64 season, a 9-year-old boy named Kim Howenstine collapsed while playing in a game at the Y. He passed away a few months later from brain cancer.

October 01, 2024. Former Huntington University running coach Nicholas E. Johnson was found guilty of sexual battery. The jury returned the verdict about 9 p.m., following more than six hours of deliperation. Johnson, who was the university’s head women’s running coach from 2018 to 2020, will be sentenced Oct. 17 in Huntington Superior Court.
