Oct 31, 2012 · I'll take RUSH, BOC, ELO over Kiss anyday of the week. I agree with Cosmic Elton John's early 70's albums are excellent, after Blue Moves I did think he lost a lot.

Sep 4, 2017 · - Psych rock, folk rock, and singer-songwriters were fading into the shadows by the end of the 70s. - By the 70s/end of the 70s, The Beatles were no longer the widespread obsession (alongside loads of other bands from the 60s - Led Zeppelin, for instance, and a whole slew of bands falling under one of the categories from the first reason).

I don't know if you could really call Nazz a forgotten band, but I don't run into a whole lot of people who know who they were or ever heard their music. Todd Rundgren fans (like myself, of course) are quite aware of their work, but otherwise they're pretty obscure, I think.

May 22, 2005 · Wishbone Ash. Ram Jam. Mother's Finest. Grand Funk Railroad. Mothers of Invention. Golden Earring (I just listened to Twilight Zone and the bass groove is... groovy) Midge Ure (with Ultravox, too. They were previously known in the 70s as Tiger Lily, I believe.)
