Oct 3, 2021 · Despite Sony now saying the A7RIV is more weather resistant than the A7RIII, I am still skeptical. For sure bring the rain cover. I still take my Olympus M4/3 EM1 body and Pro lenses to any boating event or to Thailand where it can really rain hard every day.

Aug 28, 2021 · Not sure about the A7rIV, but on the A7iii, the EFCS effect on bokeh is very evident. It makes the bokeh look worse, or as if you stopped down a stop or more than you did. I believe I read that the worsening of bokeh happens with: 1. EFCS on; and 2. Aperture of f/1.8 or wider; and 3. Shutter speed of 1/500th or faster.

Feb 12, 2024 · It is not like the A7S and A7Sii. If they wanted to test and demonstrate this principle, they should have used one of those as the comparison model against the A7Riv. It kind of made their whole test a wasted effort. The discussions before it, of the principles and caveats involved, are of value, but the test itself was a missed opportunity.

Sep 16, 2019 · p.2 #4 · Sony A7RIV weather sealing and other general first impressions. Let me add my 2 cents here! - The Grip feels great, instantly reminded me off Nikon D500 grip, its dip, front is little thinner , the fingers don't touch the body or pinched between the grip and lens mount.

Nov 30, 2021 · I also use it to power a RavPower NP-FZ100 2 in 1 USB charger that has both a USB-C and USB micro input connector, and charges 2 NP-FZ100 batteries at once. the USB charger is very small, smaller than the standard Sony BC-021 single battery charger that came with the A7RIV, plus you don't need a much bigger and thicker electric cord.
