New in Windows10 is an API that the camera driver can use to advertise its "field of view" to provide this information to apps that require it (like Camera or other augmented reality scenarios). However, today USB camera devices’ drivers are unable to report the FoV via the new API.

Aug 1, 2015 · If I choose a non panoramic theme then two different pictures are shown on the monitors and they cycle independently. If I pick a panoramic theme, then parts of two different panoramic pictures are shown on the monitors and they also cycle independently. My Win 7 and Win 8.1 machines do not behave this way. They show panoramic correctly.

Nov 13, 2012 · On the non-panoramic themes I also get a different picture, where in Windows 7 I used to get the same one on all three monitors. I did an upgrade install with the upgrade version of Windows 8. I have two monitors plugged into a discrete graphics adaptor (AMD 7750) and the third monitor plugged into the onboard Intel graphics.

Flushing Photosynth down the drain was also very shortsighted move as instead it should be embedded in core functionality. Imagine easy creating spatial photo gallery for navigation of photo sequences or create 1-click panorama.

However, I learned online that Microsoft Teams, our primary communication, and collaboration tool, does not optimally support panoramic view produced by 360-degree web cameras.

May 1, 2024 · The two panoramic images are roughly aligned because I've used the heading metadata of this location to request the same "front" tile image, with 90 degree offsets for the remaining left, right, and back images. I'm not interested in the tiles API because I want to be able to specify the returned image resolution, which the first API allows.

Sep 6, 2015 · I don't see how you would display a panoramic image on two displays that have different resolutions and sizes. There is no possible way for them to line up. And Windows will not even try if the resolutions are not the same (Windows doesn't really care much about the size of screens, it would base what it does on the resolution).
