Anyone found a sallet style helmet yet? Personal favorite style, starting to get worried as i haven't seen any yet, i have done the fort battle and there wasn't one on any of the bodies (there was a pretty nifty Hounskull helmet though).

Jan 6, 2019 · Sallet. The sallet (also called celata, salade and schaller) was a war helmet that replaced the bascinet in Italy, western and northern Europe and Hungary during the mid-15th century. In Italy, France and England the armet helmet was also popular, but in Germany the sallet became almost universal.

Feb 19, 2018 · Are there any Sallet helmets in this game? I am looking for a nice helmet with a visor but all I see are those dog-faced bascinets. This is probably a historical accuracy thing, but damn, I was really hoping to find a Sallet with bevor, and a nice long-handled hammer.

Mar 21, 2025 · The earliest sallet dates from 1407 more or less, but we already have a Visored Barbute mod with is from the 19th century and no really used for combat, so I dont think there is a problem to have sallets, armets or babutas as a mod and, probably, only for Henry.

Apr 25, 2014 · The burgonet helmet (sometimes called a burgundian sallet) was a Renaissance-era and early modern combat helmet. It was the successor of the sallet. The burgonet helmet is characterised by a skull with a large fixed or hinged peak projecting above the face-opening, and usually an integral, keel-like, crest or comb running from front to rear.

Armour was crafted by plate-smiths and helmers, often from one piece of tempered sheet metal (skullcaps, sallets) or riveted together from several smaller pieces (kettle helms, great helms). The best armour of the early 15th century was considered to be that made in Germany and Italy.
