Jan 12, 2024 · The MS website tricks people into buying into GP for what they think is $1. Since the $1 is conditional on being a new subscriber it should be clearly expressed as such. (i.e. "$1 for new subscribers only"). Not doing so is blatantly misleading. MS are therefore deliberately tricking existing customers and no doubt making lots of money from it.

It varies by region, but it seems that in the US, there is a 14-day Xbox Game Pass subscription available for $1. You should verify if this offer applies in your region; if it doesn't, it may be due to regional restrictions.

Oct 29, 2021 · Today I used Microsoft Rewards to redeem a $5 Microsoft store gift card, to purchase an xbox game pass for pc and get my first month for $1. However, when I go to purchase the game pass, it says my current balance is $5, but also asks me to choose an option to pay "the rest".

If I click subscribe, a page shows up telling me "...we'll charge you CAD $16.99 plus applicable taxes every month ."

Jan 10, 2025 · I tried to get game pass ultimate for the $1 offer but I can't, and I can't see anything saying the offer isn't there. I saw the offer a couple months ago but it's not here now, but somehow people are still getting it.

As far as I'm concerned, this issue applies to standard Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Game Pass for PC and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. I've reported this through Windows' Feedback Hub about 5 months ago, but I didn't get any reply since then, that's why I decided to post it here.
