Feb 12, 2022 · If it's a P25 system, then all you need are the frequencies, entering them into a site. While you only need the control channel frequencies, until you know, for sure, which might be control, as well as alternates, I'd enter all of them. If, however, this is a DMR or NXDN system, you're going to need the LCNs (DMR) or channel numbers (NXDN).

Dec 31, 2023 · Just bought the radio and I can't use the discovery feature since it locks up on random frequencies which is bursting data once each half second. The bursts are so short that the radio gets stuck there to infinite. For i.e if a channel has been recorded for more than 30 seconds or have more than 30 hits, it should automatically be avoided.

This is all started when I was watching lightning and remembered a show on the discovery channel about scientists launching rockets with copper wire attached and causing a lightning strike. I remembered them talking about the sounds of lightning. I just wanted to hear these sounds.

Nov 23, 2024 · If it's showing a lot of different talkgroups and random parts of coversations then it'a probably a trunked system voice channel. The RadioReference database is just the tiny tip of a big iceberg. Depending on where you are there could be a lot missing especially business frequencies that most scanner users don't care about.

May 5, 2015 · I remember watching that series called 'Everest: Beyond the Limit' on the Discovery Channel a few years back. Organizer Russel Brice used two-way radios routinely to communicate with his climbers that were farther up the mountain from his tent in Base Camp. I'm almost positive the few times they showed the radio it was set on a 2M Ham frequency.

Hit the "yes" key. Select 'trunking discovery" and hit 'yes". Select 'new session" and hit "yes". Rotate the main knob until the capital letter 'R" is displayed and hit "yes".
