A devastating five-alarm fire broke out at an apartment building in The Bronx on Friday, with nearly 200 firefighters arriving to the scene

The blaze broke out a day after the third anniversary of the deadly Twin Parks fire in the Bronx, which claimed the lives of 17 people in a high-rise building after a faulty space heater and malfunctioning doors contributed to the fire’s spread.

Nearly 200 firefighters were working to put out the fire early Friday. Seven people have been injured and many residents displaced.
