A Singapore court has sentenced an Australian man to nine days in jail for grabbing Hollywood star Ariana Grande at a movie premiere. Johnson Wen, 26, was found guilty of being a public nuisance in the high-profile incident last Thursday at the Asia premiere for Wicked: For Good.

In footage captured by multiple eyewitnesses, a man jumped over the barricade and sprinted toward Grande, grabbing her by the shoulders. Erivo, who plays Elphaba in the film, rushed to Grande’s side, pushing the man out of the way and protecting her costar and close friend.

The Australian was in Singapore on a 90-day tourist visa and has been in custody since his arrest. He was sentenced Monday after the prosecution requested a week behind bars on a charge that carries up to a three-month sentence, according to Singapore’s the Straits Times.

In multiple social media videos, Grande, who portrays Glinda in the “Wicked” films, can be seen walking the red carpet with co-stars Cynthia Erivo, Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum, as a man sprints towards them and wraps his arms around Grande.
