Following the start of media days, Paul Myerberg of USA TODAY released SEC football power rankings for the 2025 season. Tennessee is ranked No. 7. Georgia, Alabama, Florida and Oklahoma are opponents for the Vols in 2025 and are ranked higher in SEC power rankings.

The Florida display was highlighted by a No. 15 jersey won by 2007 Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow, a No. 51 jersey worn by two-time consensus All-American Brandon Spikes, and a visor won by 1966 Heisman Trophy winner and national championship Coach Steve Spurrier.
