SEATTLE — The parent of one of the two young referees assaulted during a youth hockey game at the Kraken Community Iceplex says their son is just 12 years old, not 13 as initially reported.

A Washington state man is accused of assaulting two teenage referees during his son's youth hockey game in an "unprovoked" attack, according to law enforcement.
