Huberdeau received a five-minute fighting major, a two-minute instigating penalty and a 10-minute misconduct as well. The third period began with 4-on-4 play followed by three minutes of Flames power play.
Nazem Kadri scored the deciding goal in the fourth round of a shootout, Devin Cooley made 28 saves and the Calgary Flames beat the Dallas Stars 3-2 on Saturday night to escape the NHL cellar.
