The Illini made the cut when class of 2026 recruit Victor Singleton narrowed his list of potential destinations

The DeKalb junior is a 6-foot-4, 200-pounder in the Class of 2026. In the last two seasons, he has 109 receptions for 1,952 yards and 13 touchdowns. He chose Illinois over offers from Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota, among others.

Toledo, Ohio is basically the DMZ of the state with the city having split loyalties between the Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes. The maize and blue tend to have more luck securing top talent from that city than from others within the Buckeye State.
