Angel Yin had a five-shot lead going into the final round of the Honda LPGA Thailand and an 80.7 percent chance to win. Yet, it was anything but an easy Sunday stroll at the Siam Country Club. Angel Yin won her second career LPGA event and did so in record fashion, establishing a new tour 72-hole scoring record at the Honda LPGA Thailand.

Yin’s 28-under-par total 260 (67-64-64-65) is the lowest winning score in the history of the LPGA, topping Annika Sorenstam’s previous record by a shot set in 2001. She earned $255,000 for the first-place check from an overall $1.70 million purse.
