The Miami Dolphins ramped up the physicality for their first practice in pads, the sixth overall of training camp, Tuesday at Baptist Health Training Complex. “You feel the heat, you feel the physicality of the game,” said outside linebacker Bradley Chubb. “It feels real. It’s good to be out here (in pads) again.”

The Miami Dolphins are working to shed the soft, finesse label the team has been given during the Mike McDaniel era. The bar has been set higher, which is why the first two padded practices of training camp haven't exactly met McDaniel's expectations for his 2025 team.

Dolphins starting cornerback Kader Kohou will miss the 2025 season after suffering a knee injury in practice on Saturday.

The Miami Dolphins have already been hit by the injury bug in a bad way. However, one injury to the core group on the field and this season is as good as done.

MIAMI GARDENS — Miami Dolphins cornerback Kader Kohou is out for the season, coach Mike McDaniel said. "He's going on injured reserve," McDaniel said of Kohou's knee injury. The Dolphins’ weakest position is arguably cornerback and Kohou was arguably Miami’s top cornerback.

Avoiding interceptions in camp seems less impressive when Tagovailoa is facing a depleted secondary, which recently had cornerback Kader Kohou and safety Ashtyn Davis both go down with injuries. Kohou is now out for season with his ailing knee.
