A 125-year-old golden crown was stolen from a statue of Mary inside a Philadelphia Catholic church by an agile thief seen climbing up the outside wall of the Center City church before breaking in, police said.

The crown was made of jewelry and gems donated by parishioners after the church experienced a major fire in the early 1900s, police said.

A historic church in Philadelphia's Center City became the victim of a recent burglary, and the parish is asking for the public's help.
