Steven Ogg, a Calgary native actor best known for his role in the popular TV series The Walking Dead, said he and his family evacuated to Ojai from South Pasadena. Their neighbourhood is still intact, he said in an email, but “Altadena and the Eaton Canyon fires have decimated that area which is 10 minutes from us.”

The NBA postponed the Los Angeles Lakers’ home game against the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday with several massive wildfires burning across the greater Los Angeles area. It is the second straight day a game slated to be played in downtown Los Angeles has been postponed.

"Obviously the game is secondary to that and to many things in life. Perspective is important," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said of the fires.
