The 6-year-old and his family, whose arrest prompted a public outcry, were released Wednesday from the Dilley Immigration Processing Center in Texas.

A 6-year-old Honduran boy with leukemia who had been held in immigration detention with his family since May was released July 2. The boy, his mother and 9-year-old sister entered the country legally last fall seeking asylum.
