Nintendo's live-action The Legend of Zelda film has officially begun production, and the company recently released first-look images giving fans their first glimpse of Hyrule coming to life.

The movie is being directed by Wes Ball, whose earlier work includes 'Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes'. Miyamoto himself is producing the film along with Avi Arad, the veteran producer known for his work on major superhero titles.

The Legend of Zelda is one step closer to the live action world as fans get their first real look of Zelda and Link. Nintendo released new images on November 17 via the Nintendo Today app,
