Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C., is closed Thursday morning after a passenger plane crashed into an Army helicopter Wednesday night. As a result, flights to and from the airport have been cancelled until at least 11 a.

Twenty-seven bodies had been recovered from the downed plane, a Bombardier CRJ700 operated by PSA Airlines, and one had been recovered from the helicopter, a Sikorsky H-60, said the D.C. Fire and EMS Chief.
