It’s a little bit ironic, I suppose, that Disney and Lucasfilm have snagged another actor known for his time spent in Westeros to fill Stevenson’s shoes. Baylan Skoll will be played by Rory McCann in Season 2, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed. McCann is best known for his excellent portrayal of Ser Sandor “The Hound” Clegane in Game Of Thrones.

The role that the late Ray Stevenson played in Ahsoka is set to be taken over by Game of Thrones star Rory McCann, it’s been confirmed. In May 2023, it was announced that Stevenson, best-known for roles in Thor and Punisher, had died at the age of 58.

Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Game of Thrones alum Rory McCann has joined Ahsoka Season 2. McCann will take over the role of Baylan Skoll in the Disney + Star Wars spin-off series. The role was originally played by Rome and Thor actor Ray Stevenson, who died three months before the show's 2023 premiere.
