New York City FC has its new coach. Pascal Jansen was formally announced as the club’s next head coach on Monday after City dismissed former head coach Nick Cushing following the team’s conference semifinals loss to the rival Red Bulls.

New York City FC named Pascal Jansen as its new head coach, replacing Nick Cushing, who was fired in November. Jansen, who was born in London and raised in the Netherlands, has been the manager at Ferencvarosi TC in Hungary since June and has the team in second place through 16 matches (10-2-4).

The 51-year-old Dutch manager will take over the reigns at the Eastern Conference MLS side, which lost in Eastern Conference semifinals last year
