Impersonating a police officer could get offenders a stronger punishment in Minnesota because of an assassin’s attacks on lawmakers last June.

North Branch may be under increased surveillance by the police department as it considers installing seven license plate reading cameras around town.

The North Branch City Council has started considering the installation of license plate readers within the city as part of its meeting held Wednesday, March 11.
