The Memphis Showboats staff — and the leadership of the United Football League (UFL) as a whole — spent this offseason looking for ways to increase attendance ahead of the upcoming season.

A few minutes before the Memphis Showboats kicked off their 2024 season, UFL executive vice president of football operations Daryl Johnston looked up at the stands and expressed his concern.
