A year after the release of “Killers of the Flower Moon,” Martin Scorsese is still looking for his next feature.

Martin Scorsese might make a film adaptation of Marilynne Robinson's Home before doing his The Life of Jesus movie. Following the release of 2023's Killers of the Flower Moon, Scorsese has announced a handful of new projects he either intends or hopes to make.

A new docudrama series by Martin Scorsese will debut this Sunday. Titled “Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints,” it’s about the lives of eight different saints — Maximilian Kolbe, Mary Magdalene and Francis of Assisi are among the saints that have an episode devoted to them.

“Home” is part of the Robinson’s Gilead-set series. The novel takes place in a remote fictional rural Iowan town in 1956, with a woman returning to her hometown to care for her ailing father. The novel is rife with philosophical references and Biblical quotations, with the central themes being mortality and theology.

Speaking to Vanity Fair in a Q&A published on Wednesday, November 13, Kidman, 57, threw some shade Scorsese’s way for his history of writing films centered entirely on male characters. “I’ve always said I want to work with [Martin] Scorsese, if he does a film with women,” said Kidman.

The Saints, a docudrama series starting Sunday on Fox Nation that is hosted, narrated and executive produced by the Oscar winner. Scorsese will tell the remarkable stories of eight men and women whose unshakeable faith led them to be canonized by the Catholic Church.
