The House State Affairs voted 11-2 Wednesday night to advance HB 1259, preventing transgender people from using the restrooms that match their gender.
One measure would prohibit the state from requiring its workers to use preferred pronouns. Another would regulate school bathroom use.
Senate files dealing with bathroom use by transgender people and preferred pronouns have passed through House committees.
