Jose Altuve continues to shake up the Etch-A-Sketch this season. The Houston Astros star Altuve was notably absent from his longtime leadoff spot during Monday’s game against the Detroit Tigers.

There are a lot of reasons for Jose Altuve to hit second instead of leadoff, but the main reason for the change is it's what Jose Altuve himself requested.

For the first time in nearly two years, Jose Altuve did not bat in the leadoff spot when the Houston Astros played the Detroit Tigers on Monday. The 15-year veteran requested the change, according to Astros manager Joe Espada. And he did so because of his move to left field this season.
