SAN BRUNO — A person died early Tuesday after entering BART tracks near the San Bruno station, resulting in a collision that shut down the station for more than 90 minutes, authorities said.

S AN BRUNO, CA — The San Bruno BART station was reopened after being shut down early Tuesday morning when a medical emergency was reported by the Bay Area Rapid Transit District, police said.

The San Bruno BART station was temporarily closed on Sunday afternoon after a deceased person was found on the platform, according to transit agency spokesperson Anna Duckworth.

UPDATE 7:17 a.m.. -- The San Bruno BART station reopened, resuming limited service after more than an hour. Trains are now stopped at the station but delays are still expected as the system recovers.
