VANCOUVER -- J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson have a strained relationship that has negatively impacted the Vancouver Canucks, and president of hockey operations Jim Rutherford isn’t sure how to rectify the problem, admitting it may require trades he doesn’t want to make.

Jim Rutherford was recently interviewed by the Globe and Mail and revealed his thoughts on the current issues surrounding the Vancouver Canucks.

There is undoubtedly a trade coming for the Vancouver Canucks. Now that President Jim Rutherford has confirmed there is a rift between J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson, and one that doesn’t appear fixable,

Cherry continued by saying that “he should go to Buffalo” after learning of the most recent potential Pettersson trade proposal. Cherry’s son, Tim, added on by claiming that both Pettersson and J.T. Miller should “go home” to fix the reported rift between them.

The Vancouver Canucks' president of hockey operations says he doesn't see a way forward for the current roster amid an ongoing rift between two of its top stars.
