The Hunting Wives ends with Sophie deciding to run over Margo’s brother Kyle (Michael Aaron Milligan) after he threatens her. In doing so, Sophie — who has been drinking and driving — chooses to repeat the same crime that has haunted her for the past two years when she killed another motorist while intoxicated.

In the final minutes of The Hunting Wives, Sophie encounters Kyle on the road following a trip to the store. After running her off the road, he threatens her and looks to be reaching for a gun. Scared, Sophie hits the gas and runs him down, killing him.
