A man is dead following an officer-involved shooting in south Wichita. It happened after 11 p.m. in the 3900 block of S. Oliver St. outside Spirit AeroSystems. The shooting involved multiple Sedgwick County Sheriff’s deputies and Wichita Police Department officers.

A Wichita man who live streamed his life struggles on social media before reportedly shooting at officers died in a shootout with Wichita police and Sedgwick County deputies late Thursday at Spirit AeroSystems, according to officials and his social media.

A shooting reported late Thursday night in the 3900 block of South Oliver left one person in extremely critical condition.

Officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of North Kansas Avenue following a report of a shooting around 9:30 p.m. Friday.

One person has serious injuries after a shooting Friday night. It happened in the 1900 block of North Kansas, just before 9:30 p.m. KSN has a crew on the way to the scene.

Investigators have released the name of the man shot and killed by officers and deputies Thursday night - Devario C. Edwards, 28, of Wichita. They also released a video clip showing shots being fired.
