KALISPELL, Mont. — The Flathead Warming Center opened its doors to the public Tuesday night for its first quarterly board meeting. The warming center wrapped up its sixth winter season on May 1.

The Flathead Warming Center, represented by the Institute for Justice, engaged in 13 hours of negotiations to reach this agreement. Horn emphasized the importance of community collaboration.

The warming centers started operating last winter. They can each hold up to 20 people. They open when the temperature drops below freezing. At Unity UMC, men sleep on pews overnight.

Illinois A warming center will open in Eldorado at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19. It’s located at the First Christian Church, 1125 Walnut Street and will be open until Friday.

Pine Bluff The City of Pine Bluff will be opening up their warming center at The Opportunity House (1305 East 6th Avenue) on February 17, and open nightly from 3 p.m. to 7 a.m. through February 21.
