New York City FC has its new coach. Pascal Jansen was formally announced as the club’s next head coach on Monday after City dismissed former head coach Nick Cushing following the team’s conference semifinals loss to the rival Red Bulls.

New York City FC have been without a head coach since November, but have named Pascal Jansen as their new boss before the 2025 season.

Pascal Jansen was hired Monday to replace Nick Cushing as coach of Major League Soccer team New York City and given a four-year contract, a week after leaving Hungarian club Ferencvaros in the middle of the season.
