Georgetown law school dean clobbers Trump-loving US attorney's DEI griping | Opinion
Trump's US attorney in DC fires salvo at Georgetown law school. Dean fires back.
Georgetown University cites its Catholic and Jesuit mission in rebuffing the acting U.S. attorney's threats and criticism of diversity, equity and inclusion programs and curriculum.
On Monday, Ed Martin, the interim U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, sent the dean of Georgetown University Law Center, a Catholic law school, a letter that said, “It has come to my attention reliably that Georgetown Law School continues to teach and promote D.E.I. This is unacceptable.”
“Not only is the threat against Georgetown Law unconstitutional, but Interim U.S. Attorney Martin’s demand to eliminate all diversity, equity, and inclusion from our institution is absurd, nonsensical, and unimplementable. This is White Supremacy in action,” the statement reads.
