A pair of teams that haven’t faced off since October meet for their second of three meetings this season when the Carolina Hurricanes take on the Boston Bruins at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, N.C.
The Bruins gave up a goal off a brutal miscue with 18.6 seconds left on the clock Thursday en route to a 3-2 loss to Carolina.
Morgan Geekie scored both goals for the Bruins (28-28-8), who have lost three in a row and are 1-6-2 in their past nine games. Joonas Korpisalo made 20 saves.
Seth Jarvis scored with 18.6 seconds remaining and the Carolina Hurricanes won their third consecutive game by defeating the Boston Bruins 3-2.
For now, the trouble with Sweeney’s plan is how limited he is for 2025-26. Unless the GM swaps them at the draft this June, acquired assets like the two 2025 second-rounders (Coyle, Trent Frederic) and the 2026 first-round pick (Carlo) will not ripen into NHL players for some time — if at all.
