The suspect arrested in connection to the New Year’s Day triple homicide in State Line made his first appearance in court on Friday afternoon. 37-year-old Drexler Johnson was arrested on Thursday morning and charged with accessory after the fact for capital murder.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies were called to the 1500 block of Sawmill Road or Par Road 37, just off of Leonard Chapel Road in Amite about an apparent triple homicide around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9. One suspect is currently in the sheriff’s office’s custody at this time.
