Trash services across many Northern California cities will resume on Saturday after Republic Services and Teamsters reached a tentative deal.

The tentative agreement between Republic Services and the Teamsters Union ends a nearly two-week strike that impact garbage pickup services.

A Teamsters spokesperson says the picket lines have moved to the Republic Services location on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, meaning customers will not have their trash picked up.

As the garbage strike drags on and work stoppages continue, Republic Services and Teamsters are working on returning to the bargaining table.

TRASH CONTINUES TO PILE UP in Bay Area municipalities served by Republic Services, a waste management company that saw many of its workers go on strike around the nation last week. The strikes began on July 8 amidst ongoing national contract negotiations between the International Brotherhood of Teamsters union and Republic Services,
