Alexander Isak’s future at Newcastle United is uncertain as fresh interest from abroad sparks speculation over a potential summer move.

The Magpies currently have six goalkeepers in the first-team squad this pre-season following new deals for Mark Gillespie and John Ruddy. Nick Pope is the current first choice, while Martin Dubravka would be allowed to leave should a new goalkeeper come in.

Newcastle United are reportedly ready to end their 12-month pursuit of James Trafford and are "comfortable with their current goalkeeping situation". Craig Hope of The Daily Mail reports that the Magpies are preparing to move on from Trafford after failing to agree on a deal with Burnley for the English goalkeeper.
