Mississippi State basketball lost to Auburn in the first round of the SEC Tournament after leading early in the second half.

Tennessee softball won the road series against Mississippi State with a 4-1 win. Karlyn Pickens returned from injury and only gave up one hit.

That conference record placed the Tigers as the No. 12 seed in the 2026 SEC Men's Basketball Tournament in Nashville, Tennessee. They will meet the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the second game on Wednesday and will look to get back a game they lost during the regular season in Starkville.
