A Braintree student was arrested after allegedly bringing an airsoft-type gun to school. According to police on Monday morning, a School Resource Officer (SRO) was approached by a witness at the Braintree High School, who reported that another student had a handgun. The witness said he saw the weapon.

A New Albany spokesperson said a temporary employee was in the process of being fired when security saw a firearm in the employee's bag.

Investigators say they obtained video evidence which showed Joshua Gish, 44, of Owensville, firing a gun near others. Gish was arrested and charged with Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon and Intimidation. The investigation is ongoing.
