PARIS -Arab countries will for the first time condemn Hamas and call for its disarmament early next week at a United Nations ministerial event in New York, a move meant to lure more European countries to recognize Palestinian statehood,

The US strongly opposes France's plan to recognize Palestine at the UN, labeling it 'Hamas propaganda.' French President Macron announced the decision, supporting a two-state solution without Hamas, aiming to encourage Arab states to recognize Israel.

Israel will coordinate airdrops of aid into Gaza from foreign countries in the coming days, an Israeli security official confirmed to ABC News.

US President Donald Trump accused Hamas on Friday of not wanting to reach a ceasefire deal in Gaza as Israel said it would explore "alternative options" to rescue hostages after negotiations collapsed.

"The humanitarian catastrophe that we are witnessing in Gaza must end now," a joint statement from the three countries reads.
