When BYU football recruits an athlete out of high school, it can be years of work before a commitment. The transfer portal era condenses recruiting efforts into days or even hours as teams are preparing for a bowl game.

Before BYU’s football team takes on the University of Colorado on Saturday, Dec. 28, in the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio, Texas, tailgating fans will have an opportunity to serve those in need through a donation drive — just as before every road football game in the 2024 season.
