The UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has issued travel advisories to Thailand and Cambodia after the two countries exchanged rocket and artillery fire across several sights.

The Foreign Office is advising Brits against travel to some areas of Thailand amid an increased risk to travellers. The official advice upated on Saturday (July 26) and warned tourists from the UK that they risk insurance issues if they ignore the travel guidance.

Since the exchange of fire began, Thailand has ordered the closure of its entire 817km border with Cambodia, and several countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, the US, and the UK, have warned against travelling to the areas nearby.
