Emma Raducanu has described her coach Nick Cavaday as “a very good person” and has insisted she is in “the best environment” after linking up with her childhood mentor at the start of the year. The 21-year-old has fired five previous coaches since competing at Wimbledon for the first time in 2021.

Emma Raducanu has made a "pretty big" change to her game over the past week - as she looks to win another title.

During her run in Seoul, Raducanu is testing out some “pretty big changes” to her game and they slowly seem to be paying off. The 21-year-old had a brutal first-round match against Peyton Stearns. It took two hours and 46 minutes for Raducanu to win in two tiebreak sets.

In an interview with Bally Casino, Mark Petchey, one of the former coaches of tennis player Emma Raducanu and a coach who in the past also worked with Andy Murray, defended his young countrywoman from the accusations and criticism that have rained down on her, in recent months.

Raducanu skipped several tournaments in the lead up to the US Open, where she was dumped out in the first round of the final slam of the year
