Many iconic locations in Ho Chi Minh City in 1975, when the war ended and Vietnam was reunified, are still preserved today as witnesses to the history of the country's biggest city.

Fifty years after the fall of Saigon, now known as Ho Chi Minh City, and the end of the Vietnam War, the nation marked the anniversary with a huge military parade on Wednesday. Hundreds of thousands of people lined the streets to watch soldiers march in front of the Independence Palace on Wednesday morning,
