Hollywood studio executives are making their case for theatergoing with a little help from John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.

Paul Mescal is set to portray Paul McCartney, while fellow Irish actor Barry Keoghan will take on the role of Ringo Starr in a series of new Beatles biopics. Sony Pictures has announced that there will be four films, slated for an April 2028 release, directed by British filmmaker Sir Sam Mendes.

On Monday (March 31), Sam Mendes announced the quartet of male actors who will portray The Beatles in his upcoming “four-film cinematic event”: Harris Dickinson (John Lennon), Paul Mescal (Paul McCartney), Barry Keoghan (Ringo Starr), and Joseph Quinn (George Harrison)
