Officials in Lake Tahoe are telling people to avoid a popular beach after tests found high levels of bacteria in the water.

This includes beaches, trailheads and other recreation areas managed by the USDA Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit, which manages 78% of the land in the Tahoe Basin.
