The global economy could grow less this year than previously projected, the World Bank said Tuesday, citing uncertainty over tariffs and ongoing trade disputes.

The World Bank on Tuesday cut its forecast for global growth this year and warned that the 2020s are on track for the weakest performance for any decade since the first Apollo moon landing because of trade tensions and policy uncertainty.

Economic growth in the U.S. might halve this year as a result of President Trump’s tariff policies, while the global economy is set to suffer a more modest, but still significant, slowdown, the World Bank said Tuesday.
